Candle Care
Always burn your candle on a flat heat resistant surface, away from children and pets
Always allow your candle to burn completely to the edge of the container to get a full 'melt pool'. This will take 2 -4 hours depending on the size of the candle. If you do not allow your candle to burn completely to the edge or if it placed in an area exposed to a draft, your candle will have a 'tunnelling' effect.
Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch each time before burning
Keep the 'melt pool' free of any materials that may combust such as wick trimmings, matches etc
Never leave a burning candle unattended
It is recommended that candles should never be burnt for longer than 4 hours at a time
What is Soy Wax?
Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from the oil of soybeans. After harvesting, the beans are cleaned, cracked, de-hulled, and rolled into flakes. The oil is then extracted from the flakes and hydrogenated. Natural soy wax has an off-white, opaque appearance and may frost in the colder months. This does not effect the burn or aroma of the candle, but is a sign that the candle is all natural without any additives.
Soy Wax has many benefits which include:
* Eco-friendly, biodegradable and free from pesticides and herbicides
* Contains no genetically modified material
* Manufactured using pure soy beans and contains no petroleum
* Not tested on animals
* 100% vegetable and free of toxic materials – no beeswax, petroleum or paraffin products hidden in it
* Has a lower melting point than traditional waxes therefore it burns cooler, making it safer than other waxes
* Burns up to 50% longer than traditional waxes
* Cleaner burning than other waxes - 95% less soot than paraffin waxes
* Has better fragrance throw - soy candles hold colour and scent
* Does not stain so you don’t have to worry about ruining clothing, furniture or other items
* Sustainable as soy is continually producible without damaging the ecosystem
* Easy to clean up - use warm soapy water if spilled
